SEMESTER START DATES

Reinhard College offers three (3) semesters through out the school year. The Fall Semester goes from the 3rd week of September through the end of the 3rd week of December. Our Winter Semester runs from the 2nd week of January until the end of the 2ne week of April, and our Summer Semester goes from the first Monday of May until the last Friday of July.

 

AUDITIONS AND EVALUATIONS

All students must go through an audition and evaluation. International students will be contacted and evaluated through the phone

 

ASSESMENT AND PLACEMENT

Time tables will be issued during orientation week and will be available from your Major Instruments Teacher. No Students will be issued a Timetable until fees have been paid.

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Student must pay the full semester in advanced.
  2. If unable to pay the full semester the student must pay 60% for the first month in advanced, and the other 40% one month after the beginning of the semester.
  3. Student will not be allowed to continue with the course if the second payment is not made.
  4. Classes missed or cancelled by the student will not be replaced and the student is responsible for learning the material taught in class in their own time.
  5. Classes cancelled by the teacher/instructor will be replaced and rescheduled.
  6. If Student drops a course before the 5th class the will only be billed for the fist month (40% of total cost of the course).
  7. If the student drops a course after the 5th class they will be billed for the remaining of the semester (100% of the total cost of the course).
  8. It is the student’s responsibility to buy any books or material necessary for the course.
  9. It is the student’s responsibility to bring their own instrument to every class.

 

GRADE REPORTS AND OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

Students are responsible for the accuracy of their transcripts. At the end of each term or upon completion of a program of study, student grades will be available through their Mayor Instrument teachers.

LAST DAY TO DROP A COURSE WITH OUT ACADEMIC PENALTY

A student may withdraw from any course or program without academic penalty up to forty (40) college days from the beginning of the semester.

 

REFUNDS

A refund for a course or program will only be issued if a students applies in writing to the office by the close of business on or before the fifteenth (15) school day after the start date of the course. Students who have paid for advanced semesters will be eligible for a refund for that semester if they formally withdraw before the 10th day of the term. A $100.00 withholding fee applies.

*No refunds will be issued after the 15th school day.

 

COUNSELLING, PROBATION, WITHDRAWAL

In all courses a 60% is a passing grade. At mid-term & semester end, your transcripts will be reviewed by the faculty. If failures or deficiencies are found in 1 or 2 The student will be counseled by your respective Major Instrument Faculty Head. If he/she has 3 failures he/she will be placed in probationary status and will lose your ensemble privileges. If the student has 4 or more failures they will be withdrawn from the program.
